This training is EASY and EFFECTIVE, and the best part is that everything can be performed at home! It is being created for women over 60 years old or more, that are not used to have healthy habits.
In it you will find:
- BMI test: with instructions on how to calculate it and what to do with the results. It will show you the initial point from where you start.
- 20+ different exercises and activities: every exercise has drawn explanations and is classified by difficulty.
- Daily workouts: you will find three different daily routines, organized with exercises, series, and reps of each.
- 4-week schedule.
- Borg Scale: with it, you will be able to adapt the training in relation to effort.
What is this training focused on?
- STRENGTH:Science has demonstrated that when people start aging, one of the things that contributes more to the risk of health issues is the loss of strength. People over 60 years old are probably starting to lose strength considerably. With this program, your MOTHER will not only stop that loss but also has some margin of strength gain, as she is probably unfit. This gain will be increased by two main factors:
- Neural strength gain
- Little muscle mass gain (or at least maintenance)
- CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH:Even though the main focus of the training is strength, walking combined with doing exercises with your own body is enough to reverse a sedentary lifestyle. Cardiovascular health will be improved to the levels of a non-sedentary person. Always exclude people with previous cardiovascular issues or an excessive BMI index (These people should contact a specialist before making any changes in their lifestyle).
- INJURY PREVENTION:Aging also increases the RISK of suffering falls or accidents that are derivatives of strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Here you will find some strength exercises that prepare you to learn how to wake safely from the floor after a fall.
